**NOTICE FOR OFFICIAL/DIPLOMATIC VISAS**
> All official/diplomatic visa requests require a State Department Official Hand-Carry Letter. This hand-carry letter is listed as one of the requirements under each country page.
> This is different from any clearances that must be obtained. This requirement is specifically for the visa.
1. Fill out the Request for Official Hand-Carry Letter - found on your intranet
2. Get it signed by your supervisor
3. Scan the request to your travel office, they will forward the request to the State Department.
4. Once the State Department completes the Official Hand-carry Letter, they will forward the letter to your travel office.
5. Your travel office will have the letter printed and will contact you to confirm that the letter is ready.
6. Please bring this letter along with your visa package to our office.
You must have your Official/Diplomatic passport in order to complete the Request for Official Hand-Carry Letter. If your Official or Diplomatic passport is still under process you will not be able to complete this step.
