TOURIST- US and Non-US Citizens

1. Valid and Signed Passport Passport must have one blank visa page and be valid 6 months beyond stay.
- Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visas |
2. Photographs
Two recent passport type photos, in color, on photo paper, front view and with a white background - Size 2x2 Females age 9 and up must cover their hair.

3. Visa Application Form
Two(2) visa applications must be sent - Applications not completed properly may cause a delay in the issuance of the visa and will be rejected. -Please do not leave any field blank and answer each question in detail - If a field is not applicable- put N/A or None Download Application here:

4. Travel Itinerary
Itinerary from your airline or travel agency indicating the following - Applicants Name - Dates of travel (to and from country) It is recommended that you do not purchase or confirm any tickets until the visa has been issued. |
5. Visa Authorization Number
An authorization number for Tourism applicants should be obtained through a tour company. These tours are usually conducted through agencies in the US or the European Union. **The visa authorization number must be submitted at time of processing. **Unaccompanied female visitors are required to be accompanied by an individual guide. | ||||

8. Non-US Citizen
Please submit a clear copy of your green card or US Visa and copy of I-94 - B1/B2 US Tourist Visa is not a valid option - You may print the electronic version of your I-94 by following this link: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/ |
**Passport must not contain any past or intended travel to Israel **Iranian born USA Citizens must contact the Embassy directly. SC is not able to assist. |
NEXT STEPS........
1. Gather your passport, documents, and send them to us via UPS, DHL, or FEDEX. (We recommend a courier that allows you to track the package).
2. Once we receive your package, we will verify the documents and submit them to the appropriate Consulate. (Should we need any additional clarification or documents, you can be sure that we will contact you). | ||

4. Business Letter- US Entity
Letter from US Company or Organization- the signature must be original and the letter must be on company letterhead. - Nature of Business to be performed -Name and Address of your reference that will be visited -Dates of intended visit -Guarantee of return transportation and financial guarantee for the visit - Signed by an officer or manager(not to be signed by visa applicant) Download Sample:

5. Visa Authorization Number
Contact your business associate in Iran and ask that they request a visa for you through the Foreign Ministry in Tehran. Once the Foreign Ministry approves your request, they will send the Embassy of Iran, in Washington DC an authorization to issue a visa. **The visa authorization number must be submitted at time of processing. | ||||||

Due to unexpected backlogs the Consulate may increase their processing time without notice. Certain nationalities or passport holders may result in additional processing time, this is determined by the Consulate.
